Our children are playing baseball to have fun.  But baseball is a difficult game filled with many skills that do not come naturally.  The game that children see on television is the product of years of instruction and practice.  Our children quickly learn that striking out and missing a ground ball is not fun – their enjoyment is directly related to whether they are hitting the ball and making defensive plays.   So here are some drills that will help you get started.  If you have further questions, feel free to contact your division director or our Commissioner of Baseball and check our the resources listed in the Instructional Tips section of this site.
